I am a pediatric emergency medicine physician and health information technology (IT) advocate with a broad range of clinical and health IT experiences. I currently practice medicine full-time at the Texas Christian University Health Center. For 20 years I worked in a tertiary children's hospital emergency room. For a shorter period of time I practiced primary care medicine in a private pediatric office. Since 2002 I have been active in health IT. I served as a Chief Medical Information Officer for a large heathcare system for 7 years. Since then I have become increasingly active in local and statewide health quality and health IT initiatives.
